Job summary

Waséyabek Development Company in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Engineering Technician to join our team. You will assist in environmental due diligence reports, including Phase I and II ESAs, Baseline Environmental Assessments, and Due Care Plans.

The role involves collecting data in the field, assisting with field sampling, travel, and developing tables and reports for our remediation department while following safety standards and coordinating with project

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Geology, or a related field.
• 0 to 3 years' experience in a related field.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and orally.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at the same time.
• Ability to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to pass an extensive background investigation and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Collect data and document field conditions for remediation sites, including equipment prep and sample collection.
• Participate in field work with travel and overnight stays.
• Develop tables, figures, and reports for the remediation department.
• Follow safety standards, participate in safety training, and implement site safety plans.
