Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals in Charleston, WV seeks an Environmental Technician with 0-5 years of experience to support state and federally regulated projects from our Charleston office. Work includes environmental due diligence, brownfields remediation, and CERCLA/RCRA sites across the Southeast.

The role involves assisting project managers with UST/LUST activities, field sampling, remedial system O&M, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of environmental consulting or related field experience.
• Field sampling of soil, water, and vapor.
• Report writing for regulatory compliance.
• Remediation system design, construction, and operation.
• Bachelor’s degree in science preferred but not required (Geosciences, Env Eng, Chem, Env Science).
• 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training current.

Responsabilités

• Assist Project Managers with UST/LUST removals, corrective action, and site assessment.
• Perform environmental media sampling for soil, groundwater, and vapor.
• Assist remedial system O&M, field sampling, and equipment maintenance.
• O&M for Municipal Waste Water Treatment Plants.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements, including permitting and actions.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver quality field data.
• Communicate field findings to project managers and field team leads.
• Adhere to health, safety and quality requirements.
