Job summary

J.S. Held LLC is seeking a Field Technician in Fort Lauderdale, FL to support Industrial Hygiene and EHS projects. You will perform hands-on fieldwork, assist with inspections, sampling, exposure monitoring, and data collection across commercial and residential environments.

Ideal candidates have a science degree, 0–3 years in related fields, strong documentation skills, and a willingness to travel locally. Proficiency with Office and PPE usage is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific field related to environmental health & safety.
• 0–3 years of environmental consulting, IH, EHS, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail with field data collection and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and assessments under supervision.
• Conduct sampling and monitoring (IAQ, asbestos, lead, mold, noise, exposure).
• Document field data, prepare notes, photos, chain-of-custody forms, and reports.
