Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services is seeking a hands-on Environmental Services Worker to support emergency response cleanup and industrial cleaning tasks. You will handle hazardous waste materials, operate cleanup equipment, and ensure strict safety compliance on every shift.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification. Overtime may be required, with 24/7 emergency call coverage and versatile duties across sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Some environmental services industry experience preferred.
• Some hazardous waste control experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Driving record must meet company standards and DMV printout.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
• Confined Space Entry certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices.
• Perform emergency response cleanup for chemical and water spills, and hazardous waste handling.
• Sweep, dig, shovel, lift, pressure wash and handle drums during cleanup.
• Operate cleanup equipment for hazardous waste activities.
• Follow procedures for control and storage of hazardous substances.
• Attend required safety training and adhere to policies.
• Respond to 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on standby.
• Work long hours and overtime on day, night or weekend shifts.
• Take on other duties as assigned.
