Qualifications

• Clean driving record required; an OUI is not acceptable.

Job description

We are seeking to fill the position of an Environmental Field Technician for our Greenwood, Indiana office. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. This position is a great opportunity for both entry-level and experienced candidates to learn on the job and build a long-term career. Full training is provided. Typical work includes gathering field samples and site data, taking photographs of work areas and project sites, and writing basic field reports and daily activity logs. The candidate must be organized, able to solve minor field issues, and comfortable performing physical work, including lifting heavy gear and walking on rough ground. The position involves working outdoors in rain, heat, cold, and wind. Typical workdays are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexible hours when needed. Some projects may require overnight travel.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Data Collection: Gather field samples and site data accurately.
• Site Photography: Take clear photos of work areas and project sites.
• Report Writing: Write basic field reports and log daily activities.
• Problem Solving: Fix minor field issues and stay organized.

Required Skills:

• Driving Record – Must have a fairly clean driving record; a speeding ticket is fine, but an OUI is not
• Criminal History – Must have a clean criminal history record
• Education – High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Physical Work – Must be able to lift heavy gear and walk on rough ground
• Weather Ready – Must be able to work in rain, heat, cold, and wind
