Job summary

Onterris is hiring a Field Service Technician to implement water and vapor treatment technologies in the field and assist Project Managers with scope, safety, and operations reviews. You will apply environmental engineering principles to test and operate environmental remediation devices, under engineering staff guidance.

The role requires up to 75% travel, strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lift 50 pounds; NFPA70E and HAZWOPER training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, environmental sampling and basic evaluation.
• Must have a valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
• NFPA70E Training or willingness to complete.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• HAZWOPER certification with the 40 hour class and annual 8-hour refresher.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (monitors and tools).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
• Be able to deliver and receive electronic documents.
• Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Solid organization and time/project management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with legible handwriting.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain environmental treatment equipment (pumps, filters, tanks, etc.).
• Support fabrication activities and bench/pilot testing equipment.
• Execute piping/skid fabrication in shop and field; troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Collect samples and operate field monitoring equipment (pH, EC, DO, etc.).
• Record data and prepare field reports; ensure regulatory handling and sample labeling.
• Enter monitoring data into Word/Excel; ensure proper labeling of hazardous materials.
• Communicate site conditions with Project Managers and act as a company representative.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs and training.
