Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an Environmental Technician to support field projects in the Permian Basin area of New Mexico. You will perform soil and groundwater sampling, collect data, and assist with health and safety oversight on project sites.

The role requires the ability to travel, work in varying weather, and strictly follow safety protocols. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality environmental solutions for clients in oil and gas and related industries.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in oil field, environmental consulting, or other related experience.
• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Computer skills must include Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Soil sampling activities.
• Groundwater sampling activities.
• Completion of detailed field notes, daily reports, forms and checklists.
• Health and Safety assessments and audits of project sites and teams.
• Quality, Health and Safety oversight of sub contractors.
• Other tasks as assigned.
