Job summary

GHD is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to join the Atlanta, Georgia field team. You will support remediation and O&M projects across the region, performing field sampling, data collection, and system maintenance.

You will work with a collaborative team, travel 100% in GA/SC and nearby areas, and contribute to HSE compliance while developing your field and technical skills in environmental projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in an environmental field is a plus.
• At least 3 years of environmental field experience.
• Wastewater license in GA and/or SC is a plus.
• Must possess good electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability and willingness to perform field work and travel 100% of the time in GA, SC, and Northern Alberta areas.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance (O&M) of groundwater remediation systems with troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Perform field sampling of soils, groundwater, surface water, sediment and other media.
• Coordinate with project team, contractors, and clients; maintain detailed field notes.
• Data extraction and entry into spreadsheets or standard formats.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
