Job summary

PCI Environmental is seeking an Environmental Field Scientist / Geologist / Engineer to support environmental investigation, remediation, monitoring, and compliance for Federal, State, and commercial clients. This entry‑level to early‑career role involves frequent fieldwork and extended travel, with opportunities to contribute to field planning, data evaluation, and technical reporting when in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, geological sciences, civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science, or a closely related field.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to ~70% of the time.
• Zero to five years of relevant field experience or internships.
• Ability to perform physical fieldwork in outdoor environments.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER, First Aid and CPR certifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental field activities: soil logging, groundwater/air sampling and collection of soil, groundwater, sediments, surface water and other samples.
• Assist with drilling, soil borings, and monitoring-well installation and development.
• Maintain accurate field documentation and chain-of-custody records.
• Support site assessments, investigations, remediation and monitoring events.
• Operate and maintain remediation systems and monitor compliance with permits.
• Coordinate subcontractors and assist in preparing client deliverables.
• Communicate field conditions and findings promptly to project leadership.
• Travel up to 70% of the time, including international assignments if needed.
