Job summary

Cameron-Cole, an ADEC Innovation, seeks an Environmental Project Manager (Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist) to lead field investigations and regulatory compliance from our Pensacola office.

You will manage projects, supervise field staff, prepare environmental reports, and ensure sampling plans are executed per Cameron-Cole guidelines; HAZWOPER and 5–10 years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
• 5–10 years of environmental assessment or site investigations.
• Hands-on soil and groundwater sampling with field documentation.
• HAZWOPER certification and valid driver's license required.
• Phase I/II ESA experience preferred.
• Familiarity with remediation technologies and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects including budget tracking, invoicing, and team oversight.
• Supervise sample collection and ensure field plans follow Cameron-Cole guidelines.
• Review lab reports for QA/QC and regulatory adherence.
• Design and perform site investigations compliant with regulations.

Job description

Cameron-Cole, an ADEC Innovation, is seeking an Environmental Project Manager (Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist) (CG06–07) to join our team. With minimal direction and supervision, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management ownership combined with hands‑on experience in environmental site investigations, sampling, and regulatory compliance. This role will perform and oversee environmental field sampling activities, including the collection of surface and subsurface soil samples, ensuring sampling plans are accurately executed in accordance with Cameron-Cole guidelines and procedures. Responsibilities also include data analysis, development of presentations, preparation of environmental reports and/or designs, and supervision of junior staff during field activities.

Compensation:$70,000 – $85,000 Annually

• Managing assigned projects, including budget tracking, invoice approval, and team management.
• Supervising the collection of samples for analysis while accurately following identified field sampling plans and Cameron-Cole guidelines and procedures.
• Reviewing lab analytical reports for accuracy and adherence to QAQC regulations.
• Designing and performing site investigations compliant with federal and state regulations.
• Prepares environmental reports and presentations, including tables, charts, and graphs.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field
• 5–10 years of experience in environmental assessment, site investigations, or remediation
• Hands‑on experience with: Soil and groundwater sampling, Monitoring well installation oversight, Subsurface investigations, Environmental sample collection, and field documentation
• Phase I and Phase II ESA experience preferred
• Familiarity with remediation technologies, site characterization, and regulatory compliance a plus
• HAZWOPER certification and valid driver’s license required

The employee will spend extended periods of time in front of a computer/laptop. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Completing field assignments requires the ability to walk over varied terrain and in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, while carrying equipment and materials. Additional physical requirements include bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods, lifting at least 15 pounds, performing repetitive motions using hand tools or field instruments, and walking or hiking several miles per day as required by project conditions.
