Job summary

Environmental Project Manager

About this position

Cameron-Cole, an ADEC Innovation, is seeking a Level II or Level III Environmental Project Manager (Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist) (CG06–07) to join our team. With minimal direction and supervision, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management ownership combined with hands‑on experience in environmental site investigations, sampling, and regulatory compliance. This role will perform and oversee environmental field sampling activities, including the collection of surface and subsurface soil samples, ensuring sampling plans are accurately executed in accordance with Cameron-Cole guidelines and procedures. Responsibilities also include data analysis, development of presentations, preparation of environmental reports and/or designs, and supervision of junior staff during field activities.

Compensation: $70,000 – $85,000 Annually

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Managing assigned projects, including budget tracking, invoice approval, and team management.
  • Supervising the collection of samples for analysis while accurately following identified field sampling plans and Cameron‑Cole guidelines and procedures.
  • Reviewing lab analytical reports for accuracy and adherence to QAQC regulations.
  • Designing and performing site investigations compliant with federal and state regulations.
  • Preparing environmental reports and presentations, including tables, charts, and graphs.
  • Participating in the proposal and budget creation process.
  • Supervising junior staff during field activities and project execution.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; have hand/finger dexterity; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will spend extended periods of time in front of a computer/laptop. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Completing field assignments requires the ability to walk over varied terrain and in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, while carrying equipment and materials. Additional physical requirements include bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods, lifting at least 15 pounds, performing repetitive motions using hand tools or field instruments, and walking or hiking several miles per day as required by project conditions.
