Job summary

Patriot Environmental is a leading environmental services company seeking an experienced Supervisor to manage field crews on remediation and emergency response projects in the Charlotte area. You will ensure safety, coordinate operations, and drive project delivery within scope and schedule.

The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years supervisory experience in environmental/remediation services, a valid driver's license (CDL preferred), and familiarity with CRM systems and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
  • 10–15+ years of supervisory experience across multiple crews in Environmental, Remediation and/or Industrial Services.
  • CDL license preferred; valid driver’s license required.
  • Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout.
  • Knowledge of CRM programs and federal and state environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day field crew activities for planned projects and Emergency Response.
  • Develop work plans and coordinate with the Dispatcher for manpower, equipment and resources.
  • Perform job walks to ensure safety protocols are in place and train field employees.
  • Plan proactive approaches to overcome project or emergency response challenges.
  • Communicate with Operations Manager, Project Manager and customers to meet contractual obligations and manage change orders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of field employees for planned projects and Emergency Response activities to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Develop work plans and coordinate with the Dispatcher in the allocation of manpower, equipment and other resources needed.
  • Perform job walks to ensure safety protocols are in place and being followed, provide training to field employees and monitor the progress and quality of work.
  • Plan proactive approaches to overcome challenges or issues that could arise throughout a project or emergency response action.
  • Diagnose and solve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Communicate with Operations Manager, Project Manager and customer to ensure contractual obligations are met to complete requested services, project progression status and ensure that change orders are completed/communicated/approved and executed before any additional work is performed.
  • Ensure the execution of the project within the budgeted constraints and completed on time.
  • Manage employee performance through guidance, training and discipline if necessary. Provide input to general management regarding the performance of field employees.
  • Manage safety performance and reporting of work-related accidents and incidents in a timely manner consistent with company policy.
  • Develop relationships with customer contacts onsite and provide additional service capabilities as needed.
  • Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on uncontrolled standby.
  • Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • Comply with the Random Drug Testing Program.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 10 - 15+ years of supervisory experience for multiple crews in Environmental, Remediation and/or Industrial Services.
  • Valid driver’s license required. CDL license preferred.
  • Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout, required.
  • Strong understanding of heavy equipment operations preferred.
  • Emergency response supervisor training preferred.
  • Some experience in following up on sales leads preferred.
  • Knowledge of CRM programs and federal and state environmental regulations.
  • All applicants must pass the following pre-employment requirements:
    • Physical including drug and alcohol screening
    • Background check in accordance with local laws and regulations

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Successful in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and motivation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Occasional pushing, pulling, twisting and turning.
  • Occasional lifting items overhead.
  • Standing up to 6-8 hours daily.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in confined spaces or at heights.
  • Required to wear a variety of personal protection equipment.
  • Performs work in all weather conditions during any hours during the day or night.
