Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Intern to join our Environmental team.

This paid internship provides hands‑on experience supporting environmental assessment, investigation, remediation, compliance, and engineering projects with experienced scientists, geologists, and engineers on real project deliverables. This opportunity is ideal for students looking to apply their environmental science, geology, or engineering coursework to practical challenges in the field

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a junior/senior/graduate student in environmental science, geology or engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Foundational knowledge in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, chemistry or environmental engineering.
• Strong computer and technical documentation skills.
• OSHA HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
• Prior internship or field experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist field investigations and sampling of soils, groundwater, surface water and more.
• Support Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and due diligence activities.
• Assist with soil borings and groundwater monitoring well work.
• Collect water level measurements and assist with surveying and logs.
• Support remediation system operation, monitoring and maintenance.
• Prepare tables, figures, and technical documentation.
• Review environmental data and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare or assist with technical reports and permit applications.
• Learn and follow SOPs and safety practices.
• Assist with proposal development and estimating time/expenses.
• Perform duties safely and per company policies.
• Other related duties as assigned.
