Job description

Role Summary

As an Environmental Field Inspector, you will work with a team of experts to provide a comprehensive assessment of our client’s properties by collecting property data through our mobile app and uploading it to cloud‑based software. You will perform environmental sampling to verify or dismiss the presence of indoor environmental pathogens such as mold, VOCs, mycotoxins, and others. This is a diagnostic, investigative, and documentation‑driven position that requires technical rigor, precision, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Travel to homeowner or rental properties throughout the country to conduct inspections that meet client needs.
• Collect property data on mobile devices and upload to cloud‑based software using a defined process.
• Collect environmental samples from properties, package and send them to laboratories for analysis, as needed.
• Collaborate closely with a team of experts, including a Lead Consultant and a Lead Inspector, for guidance and support throughout the inspection process.
• Engage in continuous learning to remain a leading industry expert and provide knowledgeable solutions for our clients.

Qualifications

• A valid license to drive rental vehicles.
• Ability to travel 3-4 days a week with overnight stays required.
• Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies, Earth Sciences or a related field (a plus).
• 2+ years experience in mold remediation, water restoration, lead/asbestos abatement, HVAC contracting, construction or a comparable industry/role (a plus).

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stoop, crawl, and maneuver in small spaces such as under a house or in an attic.
• Must wear required PPE during onsite inspections.
• Must be comfortable climbing ladders.
• 8+ hours of work being on your feet during inspection days.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly, exempt position.
• OTE $55-60k annually.
