Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to support a growing customer base across Central Oregon, including Bend, Redmond, and Madras. This is a field-based role, not a laboratory position.

The successful candidate will be trained to obtain a Class B CDL and operate a 26-foot box truck, with CDL training provided after hire. Occasional overnight travel is required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver''s license required.
• CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsements within 6 months of employment (preferred).
• Ability to travel throughout Central Oregon with occasional overnight/out-of-town work.
• Background check, drug test, and physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow all safety policies.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, manifests, and disposal notifications.
• Inspect staging, storage areas, and drums for leaks, spills, and labeling compliance.
• Package waste chemicals for disposal and maximize efficiency and compliance.
• Perform field duties at customer locations and support project shipments per regulations.
• Assist with site-specific health, safety plans and customer disposal restrictions.
