Job summary

Eurofins Agroscience Services Easton, MD, is seeking a Staff Scientist to design and supervise GLP-compliant studies, leading projects in environmental fate, chemistry, and toxicology. You will collaborate with a team of scientists and study directors, ensuring high-quality research delivery for North America.

The role requires a strong background in analytical sciences, data analysis, and report writing, with responsibilities expanding to training and potentially study direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/biochemistry/biology or related field with five years of environmental fate laboratory experience.
• Master’s degree with three years of directly relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree and required experience.
• GLP study director or project management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs and supervises experiments in accordance with regulatory requirements (DEA, EPA, FDA, FIFRA, OECD).
• Routinely develops procedures and methods for solving technical problems.
• Serves as an expert for technical issues for staff and external customers.
• Performs advanced troubleshooting of instrumentation and equipment.
• Conducts studies on persistence and behavior of chemicals in the environment.
• Performs data evaluations and writes technical reports and SOPs.
• May serve as primary business contact for clients.
• May monitor and direct activities of other staff; handle multiple projects.
• May be designated as Study Director ensuring GLP compliance for assigned projects.
• Discussions with scientists to prepare technical papers and reports.
• Conducts training of staff on techniques.
