Job summary

Eurofins Agroscience Services in Easton, MD is seeking an Associate Scientist to join the Chemistry team. You will apply a range of analytical techniques to test substances, perform extractions, and support data generation in a GLP environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s with substitution) and laboratory experience, with strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, with some OT as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent with 3 years of direct experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for the bachelor’s degree and experience.
• Experience in a laboratory setting is required.
• Analytical chemistry experience under GLP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use diverse analytical methods to investigate test substances in test systems.
• Perform lab tasks including balances, volumes, buffer prep, pH measurements, sample processing and homogenization.
• Conduct calculations for quantitative analysis and data interpretation.
• Carry out sample extraction and cleanup (SPE, QuEChERS) for various matrices.
• Operate LC-UV, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS and GC-MS/MS instrumentation and review data.
• Document work in notebooks and SOP-compliant records and contribute to reports.
