Job summary

Eurofins Scientific's Easton, MD laboratory is seeking a Staff Scientist to join a diverse team delivering high-quality environmental fate studies for North America. The role involves supervising experiments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting study directors with complex data and reports.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant science degree with 5+ years in environmental fate labs, is proficient with GLP, scientific writing, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with GLP principles and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Designs and supervises experiments per regulatory requirements (DEA, EPA, FDA, FIFRA, OECD).
• Routinely develops procedures and methods for solving technical problems.
• Serves as expert for staff and external customers.
• Performs advanced troubleshooting of instrumentation and equipment.
• Conducts studies to determine the persistence and behavior of chemicals in the environment.
• Writes complex reports and SOPs.
• May serve as primary business contact for clients.
• May supervise multiple projects and direct staff.
• Possible Study Director for GLP compliance on assigned projects.
• Trains staff on laboratory techniques.
