Job summary

The City of Richland is seeking an Environmental Engineering Technician II to support wastewater pretreatment and stormwater compliance efforts. You will perform inspections, sampling, permitting, and monitoring activities while ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.

This role involves working with industrial users and providing technical guidance. Ideal candidates have an AS in a related field and at least one year of relevant experience, plus a valid driver’s license and Flagger

Qualifications

  • Associate of Applied Science degree required.
  • One year of experience in stormwater or wastewater treatment or pretreatment programs.
  • Valid driver's license; Flagger Certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Support environmental compliance programs by inspecting, sampling, permitting, and monitoring wastewater pretreatment and stormwater systems.
  • Work with industrial users to ensure regulatory compliance and provide technical guidance.
  • Contribute to a range of environmental protection initiatives.
