Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree seeking program for the duration of the internship experience.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Must have a valid driver's license for work-related travel.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and/or develop Company environmental policies and guidelines; develop methods and procedures for implementing and assuring conformance.
• Provide guidance and technical assistance in organizing and establishing programs and procedures to implement and administer requirements, including budget inputs; monitor compliance with policies in assigned areas and direct related reports and recommendations to appropriate personnel.
• Design and/or review engineering designs and cost estimates for environmental equipment/systems; determine engineering specifications and recommend equipment as required.
• Identify and investigate current and developing environmental problems to determine cause and contributory circumstances; initiate steps to prevent recurrences and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Keep abreast of environmental legislation, regulatory actions, and international standards; develop/assist with impact assessments to ensure an appropriate response by the Company; obtain permits as required.
• Develop environmental information, manuals, training material and programs; inform employees of related policies and procedures; conduct training sessions.
