Job summary

Sanborn Head is seeking an aspiring engineer or geologist for a Summer 2027 internship in Bedford, NH or Philadelphia, PA. You will work with staff engineers and scientists on environmental site characterization, remediation, and hydrogeological studies, gaining hands-on experience across disciplines.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and professional growth under supervision, with a fast-paced project environment and opportunities to contribute to real-world outcomes.

Qualifications

• Recent degree or current enrollment in an environmental engineering, geology Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program (or related discipline).
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
• Interest in environmental site characterization and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Learn the responsibilities of an engineer / geologist.
• Incorporate academic knowledge into hands-on work.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and regulatory compliance activities.
• Assist with field assessments such as groundwater and soil sampling, drilling oversight, and remediation/construction oversight.
• Assist with environmental data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Attend project meetings and learn how consulting projects are managed.
