Job summary

Sanborn Head is seeking an aspiring engineer or geologist for an Intern position in our Industrial Client Service Area for Summer 2027.

The Intern will assist on environmental site characterization, hydrogeologic assessments, groundwater and soil remediation, vapor intrusion mitigation, and site closure planning, working with a team of staff engineers and scientists in Bedford, NH and Philadelphia, PA offices.

Qualifications

• Recent degree or current enrollment in an environmental engineering, geology Bachelor's or Master’s degree program.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
• Strong work ethic and ability to learn industry software.

Responsibilities

• Learn the responsibilities of an engineer / geologist.
• Incorporate academic knowledge into hands-on work.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and regulatory compliance activities.
• Assist with field assessments such as groundwater and soil sampling, drilling oversight, and remediation/construction oversight.
• Assist with environmental data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Attend project meetings and learn how consulting projects are managed.
