Job summary

Flint Hills Resources (FHR) is offering a Summer 2027 Environmental Intern position at our Rosemount, MN refinery. As an Environmental Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working on real projects, learning environmental regulations and permitting requirements, and collaborating with mentors to drive data-driven environmental decisions.

The program runs 12 weeks in person. Applicants must be enrolled in a 4-year degree program in an environmental field, be eligible for full-time employment

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 4 year degree program majoring in Environmental Engineering or Science, Chemical Engineering or other related science, engineering, or environmental field.
• Eligible for full-time employment during or before Summer 2028.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work on real projects in environmental engineering and learn about regulations and permitting.
• Assist with monitoring, sampling, data analysis, and management.
• Participate in a 12‑week, in‑person internship at our Rosemount refinery with mentorship.
