Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber in Farmington Hills, MI, is seeking an Environmental Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will work with our Environmental team to collect water samples, assess data, and contribute to environmental plan development.

This paid internship offers exposure to SPCCs, PIPPs, HWCPs, SWPPPs, field visits, and collaboration with engineers. Candidates should be pursuing relevant engineering or science programs and be proficient with Excel and Office.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related program.
• Curious, analytical mindset with a passion for environmental work.
• Comfortable working independently and asking questions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Previous field or lab experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect and assess stormwater samples and environmental data.
• Support the development of environmental plans (SPCCs, PIPPs, HWCPs, SWPPPs).
• Assist with permits, applications, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists on consulting projects.
• Participate in site visits and fieldwork to gain real-world experience.
