Job summary

Fishbeck seeks a Survey Intern for Summer 2027 in Farmington Hills, MI. This full-time internship supports engineering evaluations and design for water and wastewater projects, with data analysis and report preparation across regional offices.

As part of the team, you will collaborate with survey professionals, observe project conditions onsite, and participate in client meetings. The role requires enrollment in a relevant program, CAD software experience, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station experience, preferably in the land development industry.
• Ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
• GPS knowledge is a plus.
• Possess valid driver's license.
• Available for occasional travel, long hours, and occasional weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow direction, and work independently.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering evaluations and design of water and wastewater systems.
• Analyze data and help prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and survey professionals across multiple offices.
