Job summary

ERM is seeking a Consulting Associate, Engineer based in Charleston, WV, to contribute to environmental and engineering projects across energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining, and chemical sectors. The role offers remote/hybrid work with flexibility and travel to client locations over a broad geographic area.

You will gain hands-on experience on diverse projects while building technical, field, and consulting skills for long-term career growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with project managers, technical teams, and clients.
Driver's License Required: travel to client locations across a large geographic area.

Responsibilities

Perform environmental inspections and support stormwater compliance activities during construction.
Assist with civil and environmental engineering design deliverables, including site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and stormwater management plans.
Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and field documentation.
Participate in both field-based and office-based project work across a variety of energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions that meet client objectives.
Ensure health, safety, risk, and quality standards are maintained on all project assignments.
