Job summary

ERM seeks a Consulting Associate, Engineer in Charleston, WV to support environmental inspections and civil engineering design for energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing projects. You will assist with site plans, stormwater plans, and field documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a Civil/Environmental/Geotechnical engineering background, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to travel within a large geographic area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, or related engineering field is required.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Internship or professional experience in civil/environmental engineering is preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil3D, GIS, or stormwater modeling software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental inspections and support stormwater compliance activities during construction.
• Assist with civil and environmental engineering design deliverables, including site plans and stormwater management plans.
• Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and field documentation.
• Participate in both field-based and office-based project work across energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions that meet client objectives.
