Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support pipeline, terminal, storage and midstream operations across the company. You will act as the Engineer of Record for SPCC Plans and advise on environmental compliance, permitting, due diligence, waste management and project management.

The role requires PE licensure, 10+ years in environmental engineering and experience with SPCC Plans in the energy sector. Travel ~30% and strong communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical or related Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Active PE registrations in multiple states are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record for SPCC Plans under 40 CFR Part 112.
• Develop, certify, review, implement SPCC Plans for applicable facilities.
• Provide regulatory compliance support in the areas of Waste, Water, and SPCC.
• Support environmental permitting activities and compliance obligations.
• Provide environmental support for capital projects and operations.
• Support spill response, remediation projects, inspections, and regulatory interactions.
• Manage environmental consultants and technical studies as needed.
• Provide leadership on environmental risk management and compliance initiatives.
