Job summary

CITGO Petroleum Corporation seeks an Environmental Engineer to support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives. You will conduct analyses, assess impacts, and help implement pollution prevention strategies while ensuring adherence to regulations.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on projects, manage risks, and deliver solutions for safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations in Corpus Christi, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in petroleum refining, chemical manufacturing, or environmental consulting.
• Experience with waste and remediation compliance and basic knowledge of EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental assessments to identify potential impacts of operations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permits.
• Develop and implement remediation strategies for contaminated sites.
• Design and implement sustainability programs to reduce carbon footprint and resource use.
• Monitor air quality and water parameters and manage corrective actions.
