Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. seeks an Environmental Engineer, Geologist or Scientist Intern/Co-Op to support our environmental management and site assessment team in Raleigh or Wilmington, NC. The role offers flexible hours with a minimum of 20 hours/week and potential for additional rotations during studies.

• Outstanding academic credentials and strong communication and writing skills.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Health & Safety training and potential drug/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform field sampling of soil, soil gas, indoor air, groundwater, and surface water.
• Oversee drilling and contractor activities with proper training.
• Conduct vapor intrusion assessments and system design support.
• Assist with environmental due diligence (Phase I/II).
• Support regulatory compliance and permitting for air, water, waste.
• Analyze data and prepare maps, tables, and figures.
• Prepare technical reports, letters, and proposals.
• Contribute to brownfields redevelopment planning and oversight.
• Travel to project sites as needed by driving company or rental vehicles.
