City of Chicago is hiring an Environmental Engineer II to manage environmental consultants, analyze data, and lead field investigations across diverse sites in Chicago, IL. The role supports compliance with federal, state, and municipal environmental laws and may provide expert testimony as needed.

These positions are open to the general public and to all current city employees covered under the terms of the City's collective bargaining agreement with the AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) - (BARGAINING UNIT #01, 03, 04, 05)
Only employees in City job titles in this bargaining unit are eligible to bid.

THIS POSITION IS IN THE CAREER SERVICE
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Engineering or a directly related field, plus one (1) year of work experience in environmental engineering.
A valid State of Illinois driver's license is required.
