Job summary

Water & Environmental Technologies (WET) in Butte, MT is seeking an entry-level full-time Environmental Engineer, Hydrogeologist, Geological Engineer, or Geologist to apply core engineering and geologic principles on a range of projects. You will collaborate with project managers to prepare quality deliverables and conduct field investigations.

The role includes soil and groundwater sampling, data analysis, report preparation, and travels to multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, or related ABET-accredited program.
• Ability to obtain EI or GIT certification within two years if not licensed.
• Minimum 2 years experience preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability required.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil and groundwater sampling and well logging.
• Analyze hydrogeological and environmental data.
• Contribute to work plans and field investigations.
• Assist with and prepare engineering and project reports.
• Support proposals and marketing efforts.
• Travel to Montana, Rocky Mountain, and Pacific Northwest sites as needed.
• Ensure QA/QC to meet WET standards and safety practices.
