Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. seeks an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Civil Engineer for our Green Bay, WI or Marquette, MI office to support environmental and engineering practices in the Midwest. Tasks include site assessments, permitting, field sampling, and client communication.

The role involves field and office work, collaboration with national teams, and opportunities for professional growth within an employee-owned firm. Travel to project sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Geology.
• 4 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist, and/or Certified Hydrogeologist is preferred.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgement, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel for routine short-term and occasional long-term field assignments with overnight stays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support Phase I II Environmental Site Assessments and related reports.
• Prepare and review Permitting Plans and Environmental Compliance reporting.
• Conduct field tasks including sampling of groundwater, soil, and other media.
• Assist with cost estimates, proposals, and technical memoranda.
• Collaborate with team leaders locally and nationally and participate in industry events.
• Maintain visibility through client contact and project participation.
