Job summary

AECOM is seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer for the Omaha, NE office to support the Environmental business line on Federal projects. You will apply chemistry, physics, biology, hydrology, and mathematics to study contaminants and restore the environment, while coordinating with project managers and subcontractors.

The role involves preparing work plans, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Travel within the United States may be required, and a U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, chemical, mechanical, or environmental Engineering or related discipline.
  • 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License; background check.
  • Professional registration preferred; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize basic scientific principles to develop solutions for technical problems.
  • Prepare technical work plans and reports.
  • Interpret data and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Plan, execute, and report on environmental measures in natural systems.
  • Collect samples (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment) and prepare for shipping.
  • Coordinate with managers and field staff to support sampling and data collection.
