Job summary

PPG is seeking an Environmental Engineer for its Circleville, Ohio plant to lead environmental compliance and safety initiatives. You will coordinate with EHS and engineering to ensure safe, compliant operations and provide direction and training across levels of the organization.

You will develop leading indicators for sustainability, support emergency planning, and drive continuous improvement in energy, water, and waste metrics. This role sits onsite reporting to the EHS manager.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with CAA, CWA, and EPCRA permits and reporting.
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Broad understanding of environmental, health and safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local and PPG environmental regulations and policies.
• Manage CAA MACT/NPDES/CWA SPCC, and EPCRA reporting documentation.
• Develop and maintain emergency response and contingency plans.
• Collaborate across manufacturing, corporate EHS, and engineering teams.
• Provide leadership and coaching to motivate change.
• Support ISO14001 requirements and sustainability metrics.
• Participate in Emergency Response Teams (ERT) and incident investigations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental, health and safety rules.
