Job summary

Mitsubishi Polyester Film, Inc. in Greer, SC, is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the ESH group at our Greer site. You will support environmental compliance, chemical approval, data management, and regulatory reporting with a focus on protecting employee health and the environment.

The role involves reviewing SDSs, maintaining data systems, and preparing various environmental reports, including Title V and EPCRA, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience preferred; 3+ years considered.
• Strong understanding of chemistry, chemical management, SDS interpretation and environmental compliance.
• Experience with environmental reporting, DOT shipping requirements, and exposure considerations.

Responsibilities

• Review SDSs, chemical ingredients, and exposure information to manage the site chemical approval process.
• Evaluate regulatory considerations including environmental reporting and exposure monitoring requirements.
• Maintain ERA database: SDSs, chemical characteristics, air, water, and waste data.
• Enter monthly production and chemical usage data for inventories and reports.
• Prepare monthly air emissions and greenhouse gas reports, and asbestos reports; assist with Title V reports.
• Prepare EPCRA and TRI reporting data.
• Perform industrial hygiene sampling to evaluate employee exposures.
• Maintain SWPPP and lead inspections of the Stormwater program.
• Maintain SPCC Plan and environmental certificates, licenses, and permits.
• Assist with wastewater treatment processes and assess chemical impacts.
• Support Product Stewardship and administer ESH SharePoint site.
• Assist with RC14001 ESH Management System and internal audits.
