Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) seeks an Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Compliance Engineer to safeguard environmental integrity and safety at a critical facility. The role emphasizes protecting people and the environment while supporting national naval propulsion programs.

You will develop and maintain compliance programs, interpret evolving regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement in environmental performance across site operations.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing complex data and generating regulatory reports.
• Experience conducting inspections or audits to local, state, or federal standards.
• Background in environmental, health, or safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain programs ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company standards.
• Stay current on evolving regulatory requirements with technical guidance to team.
• Prepare and review regulatory reports submitted to federal and state agencies.
• Conduct environmental reviews of operational documents and perform trend analyses.
• Evaluate environmental data and contribute to continuous improvement of environmental performance.
• Collaborate with site personnel across construction, maintenance, and facility management to ensure day-to-day compliance.
• Interface with regulatory agencies and support development of record-keeping systems for tracking compliance.
