Job summary

Mountain Cement Company, a subsidiary of Eagle Materials, seeks an Environmental Engineer to support our new US cement plant. You will conduct audits, collect environmental data, write reports, train staff, and maintain site compliance across plant, quarries, and terminals.

You will develop professionally through hands-on work, mentoring, certifications, licensure, and training opportunities, collaborating with a safety-forward, manufacturing-focused team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Engineering required.
  • Experience with permitting and compliance in Air, Water & Waste permits preferred.
  • Experience working in industrial/manufacturing settings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the timely completion of environmental tasks.
  • Writing environmental plan revisions.
  • Performing plant and quarry inspections.
  • Conducting recordkeeping for permit conditions.
  • Assisting with permitting determinations and permit applications.
  • Reviewing DAS data and acting on alarms.
  • Participating in stack testing coordination and oversight.
  • Gathering data and preparing environmental reports.
  • Assisting with regulatory inspections and building relationships with agencies.
  • Developing and providing environmental training.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Conducting visible emissions observations.
  • Collecting environmental samples and interpreting results.
  • Acting as Environmental Manager when needed.
