Position: Environmental Engineer

Location: Pasadena, TX

Essential Job Duties

1. Maintain environmental, health, and safety standards as our top priority.
2. Develop and implement water and solid waste management programs complying with federal, state, and local regulations at two PVC resin manufacturing facilities.
3. Identify environmental issues within the plant and guide management in addressing deficiencies.
4. Prepare reports on environmental performance, including DMR, emissions, spills, etc.
5. Support wastewater and solid waste monitoring, sampling, and testing to ensure regulatory compliance.
6. Participate in audits and compliance assurance activities.
7. Coordinate plant inspections to meet TCEQ, EPA, and corporate standards.
8. Assess the impact of new or revised regulations and suggest procedural modifications.
9. Review environmental impacts of capital projects.
10. Oversee engineering projects to meet environmental, health, and safety goals.
11. Prepare permit applications and negotiate conditions with regulators.
12. This role supports both Pasadena and Deer Park PVC locations.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field, with at least five years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
2. Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations such as EPA and TCEQ.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
6. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
7. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and respond to callouts.
8. Valid driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and perform walking, bending, and stooping.
2. Capability to wear PPE, including respirators.
3. Respond to visual and audible alarms.
