Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Environmental Engineer role based in New York, NY. The Environmental Engineer will support the planning, design, and implementation of projects related to water resources, environmental protection, climate resilience, and sustainable infrastructure. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include conducting field investigations and site assessments, performing technical analyses and calculations, preparing environmental reports and engineering designs, and supporting environmental impact studies. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to proposal development, and communicating findings to clients and stakeholders. The Environmental Engineer will also help ensure projects comply with relevant environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications
  • Ability to manage environmental compliance activities, including permitting, regulatory review, and adherence to local, state, and federal standards.
  • Experience with wastewater treatment systems, including design support, operational assessment, and performance optimization.
  • Skills in environmental impact assessment, including data collection, analysis, and preparation of technical documentation.
  • Background in environmental consulting, with experience engaging clients, developing solutions, and supporting multi‑disciplinary project teams.
  • Knowledge of waste management practices, including solid and hazardous waste handling, disposal strategies, and sustainability‑focused solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and report‑writing skills, with proficiency in relevant engineering and data analysis software.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work safely in field and office environments.
  • Professional engineering licensure (or eligibility and intent to obtain) is preferred.
  • Experience with climate resilience, sustainable infrastructure, and water resources projects is an advantage.
