Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced environmental project manager to lead investigations and remediation efforts across multiple client sites. You will plan, manage budgets, ensure quality, and deliver timely results while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related field (required).
  • At least 5 years of direct environmental consulting experience (required).
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams (required).

Responsibilities

  • Provide project support including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, and maintaining quality.
  • Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing.
  • Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
  • Conduct fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction.
  • Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments.
  • Support lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring.
  • Publish articles, present, and actively participate in prominent industry conferences to broaden our reputation.
  • Drive company and rental vehicles to client or company project sites or offices, and other business locations, as needed.

Job description

  • Help broaden our reputation by publishing articles, presenting, and actively participating in prominent industry conferences
  • Drive company and rental vehicles to client or company project sites or offices, and other business locations, as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related field. (required)
  • At least 5 years of direct environmental consulting experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
  • Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
  • Professional registration. (i.e., P.G. or P.E.). (preferred)
  • Proven leadership skills. (preferred)
  • Regional visibility through involvement in professional associations or trade organizations. (preferred)
  • Current OSHA 40‑hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
Certifications & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering

  • Professional registration (P.G. or P.E.)
  • OSHA 40‑hr HAZWOPER certification
