Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an Environmental Engineer for a leading aluminum rolled products manufacturer in Lewisport, KY. The role sits within the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department to drive compliance and sustainability initiatives.

The candidate will lead air, water, and waste management, maintain permits, and support regulatory reporting and audits, while developing policies and training to promote strong environmental practices across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in environmental engineering or compliance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including EPA standards, permitting, and audits.
• Experience with ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise related to air, water, waste, and chemical management to ensure environmental compliance and risk reduction.
• Manage and maintain environmental permits, including renewals, reporting, and inspections.
• Support regulatory reporting, audits, certifications, and inspections to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs that promote good environmental practices across the facility.
• Maintain environmental data, records, and documents confidentially, and evaluate analytical data to assess site compliance.
