Job summary

Estuario, the San Juan Bay Estuary Partnership, seeks an Environmental Educator to develop and deliver environmental education and literacy activities for diverse audiences. This role will provide technical expertise in education, coordinate workshops, and manage the volunteer/citizen scientist database to support conservation goals.

The Educator will document outcomes, coordinate field and virtual sessions, and work with the Communications team to promote participation in events and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Geography or Environmental Sciences from an accredited university.
• Experience coordinating community-based educational projects and workshops.
• Experience or familiarity with citizen science programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver educational offerings, workshops, and training.
• Coordinate workshops, manage the volunteer and citizen scientist database.
• Document and report on activities and outcomes with the Public Involvement Specialist.
• Prepare educational materials about the Condado Lagoon and Estuary ecosystem.
• Support field workshops and webinars for multiple modules of the Citizen Science Certification.
