Job summary

Clean Earth, Inc. is hiring a CDL Driver to travel along an assigned route, packaging, transporting, and disposing of waste in compliance with all regulations. You will maintain accurate records, follow instructions, and work independently after training.

The role requires up to 4 overnight stays, some weekend work, and a company-provided card for hotel expenses with a daily meal stipend. A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered and a robust benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 21 years of age and legal to work in the U.S.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Understand, read, and write English.
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly.
  • Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
  • DOT physical, drug test, and background checks required.

Responsibilities

  • Package and transport waste safely according to federal, state, and local rules.
  • Complete required paperwork following regulations and policies.
  • Load and secure materials and waste; unload at customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
  • Prepare and load truck with supplies.
  • Provide excellent service to assigned accounts and communicate issues to management.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck.
  • Plan routes based on daily paperwork and customer needs.
  • Follow routing software and DOT guidelines.

In the CDL Driver role, you will be traveling to locations along an assigned route where you will be responsible for packing, transporting, and properly disposing of waste materials in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures. This positionrequiresthemaintenance of recordswithaccuracy and attention to detail, the ability to follow instruction,and to work independently onceprovidedproper training.


This position requires up to 4 overnights and some weekend work. You will be provided with a company card to pay for a hotel and given a daily stipend to cover food and other expenses.


Job Details


  • Package and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.

  • Complete required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at various customer sites or Clean Earth locations.

  • Prepare and load truck with necessary supplies.

  • Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.

  • Perform a documented pre-trip and post-trip check on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.

  • Plan schedule/route based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g.manifests, route sheets, etc.).

  • Follow routing software route schedule.

  • Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.


Qualifications:

MinimumQualifications


  • At least 21 years of age

  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required

  • Understand, read, and write English

  • Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

  • Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time

  • Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel,etc)

  • Willing and able to wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed)

  • Valid ClassB Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

  • Hazmat endorsement

  • Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check


Preferred Qualifications


  • Valid TWIC Card

  • At least 1 year of route driving experience

  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations
