Job summary

Veolia North America is hiring a CDL Driver to package and transport waste safely and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered to new hires.

The role includes 2–4 overnights per week and occasional Saturdays, with a company card for hotels and a daily stipend for meals and expenses. Responsibilities include paperwork, loading/unloading, and providing excellent customer service to assigned accounts.

This position requires 2-4overnights per week (Mon-Fri). You will be provided with a company card to pay for a hotel and given a daily stipend to cover food and other expenses. Occasional Saturdays are required.

Job Details

• Package and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Complete required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.
• Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at various customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
• Prepare and load truck with necessary supplies.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.
• Perform a documented pre-trip and post-trip check on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.
• Plan schedule/route based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g.manifests, route sheets, etc.).
• Follow routing software route schedule.
• Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
• At least 21 years of age
• Understand, read, and write English
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel,etc)
• Willing and able to wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed)
• Valid ClassB Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check

Preferred Requirements

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (candidates will be expected to obtain as a condition of employment after hire)
• Valid TWIC Card
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations
