Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a CDL Driver to travel routes, pack, transport, and dispose of waste in accordance with our policies. This role requires accuracy in record-keeping and the ability to follow training instructions.

The position is mainly local with occasional overnights. It demands a valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, DOT compliance, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Understand, read, and write English.
• Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Pass DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check.
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with route driving preferred.

Responsibilities

• Package and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Complete required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.
• Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at various customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
• Prepare and load truck with necessary supplies.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.
• Perform a documented pre-trip and post-trip check on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.
• Plan schedule/route based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g.manifests, route sheets, etc.).
• Follow routing software route schedule.
• Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Job Description

In the CDL Driver role, you will be traveling to locations along an assigned route where you will be responsible for packing, transporting, and properly disposing of waste materials in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures. Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• At least 21 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Understand, read, and write English
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel,etc)
• Able and able to wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed)
• Valid ClassB Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
• Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check

Preferred Requirements:

• Valid TWIC Card
• At least 1 year of route driving experience
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations

Additional Information

Pay starting at $29.00 - $30.00hourly
