Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a CDL Driver to travel along an assigned route, pack, transport, and properly dispose of waste materials in line with our environmentally responsible policies. This role requires 4 overnights and some weekend work, and you will receive a company card for hotel expenses plus a daily meal stipend.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age
• High School diploma or GED required
• Understand, read, and write English
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel, etc)
• Willing and able to wear company-provided PPE such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed)
• Valid Class B CDL
• Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check

Responsibilities

• Pack, transport, and dispose of waste according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Complete required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.
• Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at various customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
• Prepare and load truck with necessary supplies.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.
• Perform a documented pre-trip and post-trip check on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.
• Plan schedule/route based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g.manifests, route sheets, etc.).
• Follow routing software route schedule.
• Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Job Description

In the CDL Driver role, you will be traveling to locations along an assigned route where you will be responsible for packing, transporting, and properly disposing of waste materials in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures. MinimumQualifications

• At least 21 years of age
• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
• Understand, read, and write English
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel,etc)
• Willing and able to wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed)
• Valid ClassB Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement (candidates will be expected to obtain as a condition of employment after hire)
• Valid TWIC Card
• At least 1 year of route driving experience
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations
