Job summary

Veolia, in partnership with the Clean Earth team, is seeking a CDL Driver to travel an assigned route handling disposal of waste materials in compliance with all regulations.

Position requires 4 overnight stays and some weekend work. A company card and daily stipend cover hotel and meals. Training will be provided, with focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Understand, read, and write English
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly
  • Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel)
  • Willing to wear PPE including eye/foot protection and Tyvek
  • Valid Class B CDL
  • Able to pass DOT physical, drug test, and background check

Responsibilities

  • Package and transport waste safely according to regulations
  • Complete required paperwork per regulations and policies
  • Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at sites
  • Prepare truck with supplies
  • Provide high level customer service and communicate issues to supervisor
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip checks on the truck
  • Plan schedule/route based on daily paperwork and routes
  • Follow routing software and DOT guidelines
  • Perform other duties as needed

Job Description

In the CDL Driver role, you will be traveling to locations along an assigned route where you will be responsible for packing, transporting, and properly disposing of waste materials in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures. This positionrequiresthemaintenance of recordswithaccuracy and attention to detail, the ability to follow instruction,and to work independently onceprovidedproper training.

This position requires 4 overnights and some weekend work. You will be provided with a company card to pay for a hotel and given a daily stipend to cover food and other expenses.

  • Package and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
  • Complete required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at various customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
  • Prepare and load truck with necessary supplies.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.
  • Perform a documented pre-trip and post-trip check on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.
  • Plan schedule/route based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g.manifests, route sheets, etc.).
  • Follow routing software route schedule.
  • Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications

MinimumQualifications

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
  • Understand, read, and write English
  • Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel,etc)
  • Willing and able to wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed)
  • Valid ClassB Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hazmat endorsement (candidates will be expected to obtain as a condition of employment after hire)
  • Valid TWIC Card
  • At least 1 year of route driving experience
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations
