Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service is seeking a Construction Inspector to join the Environmental Dredging and Restoration Division in support of dredging and remediation projects across Anne Arundel County and Baltimore City facilities.

The role includes field inspection, record-keeping, erosion and sediment control checks, and coordination with engineers and contractors. Qualifications include a HS diploma and construction inspection experience or training.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Familiarity with understanding and reading construction drawings, scopes of work and specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection services and maintain records of site activities.
• Conduct erosion and sediment control inspections and sample collection if needed.
• Assist Engineers and Construction Managers with project documentation and contractor coordination.
• Respond to clients and contractors regarding standards and inspection procedures after consultation with supervision.
