Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data management professional to enter and validate environmental datasets using EQuIS, Excel, and the Microsoft Office suite. The role requires meticulous data handling, charting, and reporting to meet client specifications and timelines.

You will work with project teams to ensure data quality, coordinate with stakeholders, and develop reports and boring logs that support project deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies/sciences, geology, chemistry, biology, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience working with databases.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including charts, macros, pivot tables, and other functions.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with EQuIS and Microsoft Suite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Clear and confident communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills grounded in scientific reasoning and technical expertise.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in managing large environmental datasets.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into the EQuIS database.
• Manually check data against original documents.
• Enter geologic data and produce boring logs.
• Produce charts and reports.
• Perform advanced formulas and functions in Microsoft Excel.
• Follow data management department processes.
• Discuss data and projects with data management staff and project teams.
• Prepare data summaries, charts, boring logs, and figures.
• Provide status updates to project managers and stakeholders.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure data quality and project success.
